Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Spring Event – April 2017

Senior Corps RSVP volunteers had a great time helping at the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Spring Event at the Northampton Country Club in April.

 

Some volunteers helped set up for the event and later joined additional volunteers to staff the silent-auction tables.  The event raised $20,000 for D&L.  Thanks to everyone who helped make that happen!!

American Red Cross Cabaret & Cruisin’ Event – April 2017

RSVP volunteers helped at the American Red Cross’ fundraising event in April.

The event generated over $72,000 to support delivery of the Red Cross mission to our local communities.  And a good time was had by all!!

Canned-Food Collection for Second Harvest at Dorney Park – April 2017

Senior Corps RSVP volunteers braved the wind on an early-April Saturday to collect canned food for Second Harvest Food Bank.  Over 9,500 pounds of food were collected that day!  Good job everyone!! 

 

Project Keep Warm – Lehigh Valley H.O.P.E. – Winter 2017

Project Keep Warm was an event sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Business Group. Project Keep Warm distributed donated coats, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, blankets, tarps, hand/feet warmers to those in need in our communities.

 

On January 14th, February 18th and March 18th, RSVP volunteers helped sort donations at Lehigh Valley H.O.P.E. at 555 Union Blvd, Allentown in the Executive Education Academy Charter School that were then distributed by Project Keep Warm volunteers.

 

 

Project Keep Warm went mobile on January 16th and helped 100 needy and homeless with coats, hats, gloves, sweaters, scarfs, warm blankets and comforters.
